Life hacks are never too much in this life, specially when you are a woman and you enjoy doing a lot of home tasks, including those that are by the norm more oriented for men. Here at Wifeknows we believe women can do all at their own very well and better than men, regardless of the norm, and we appreciate doing it.
Meet Our Team
The site was founded by Abby Larson, an LA resident who is always on the rush and like things that way. But Abby knows that organization and method are always welcome and important to keep up with all these home tasks effectively.
Abby started compiling tips to purchase and deal with electronic appliances, something that is often a strange world for most women. She did it in a didactical fashion to make things simpler and right on point, avoiding mans plaining or any dependence on our guys to handle this kind of task. From there on, Abby expanded the list of things that are often tricky to purchase or deal with. These days she is the chief editor of WifeKnows, sharing the writing and brainstorming of new guides and reviews with a special team of colleagues.
Amanda Tucker – Appliances
For the Appliances section, Wifeknows teamed up with Amanda Tucker to summarize and review home electronics, specially kitchen appliances. Amanda is mother of two and she has over 12 years of experience in the kitchen as an excellent cooker famous in the family and among her friends for her cooking skills. This expertise just added to her knowledge on how kitchen appliances works. Additionally, Amanda knows where to look for information on the newest models, how to get to test them herself when there is an opportunity and, mostly, she does a judicious review of products based on a lot of different features and factors to bring you just the best. Sometimes she can be too harsh on her judgment, which is all the best to bring you only the best things in the market.
Kids&Baby – Jenny L. Brown
Our second original section to be created is today managed by Jenny, mother of fraternal twins – they have different genders – and this added a lot to her experience with all the decor and gender oriented products. Jenny actually works as an interior designer and she adds a lot with her knowledge to our catalogue of products for kids of all ages, specially when it comes to good taste.Jenny is also a reviewer of all kinds of baby gear for our site, and she knows very well how to select the best stuff for you as she is far from finished with her early years of motherhood.
Beauty and Guides – Alice McLaughlin and Abby Larson
For our section dedicated specially to beauty care, where women are at the center, Alice McLaughlin adds her expertise reviewing lots of appliances, products, beauty guides and more to our lists of products and personal care. Alice is a part an entrepreneur and part an aficionado on beauty care, from toiletries to the most sophisticated beauty treatments, she likes to treat her self well. She is always tuned to what is new and promising in the market. Abby gives a hand here organizing and helping creating lists as well as writing herself some guides with Alice.
Bedroom – Michelle Jenkins and Jenny L. Brown
The last original section of our site is a spin-off of the Kids&Baby section. To separate and categorize with more accuracy what is furniture from everything else, this section includes both kids’ bedroom furniture and parents bedrooms. Jenny shares her decoration knowledge with Michelle, who work in the furniture industry for over 10 years. Here they review not only furniture but everything bedroom related, including decor sets and tips to organize these ambients, specially when it involves newborns and reorganizations of spaces.
